HOW YOU CAN HELP
Does the sound of train whistles interrupt your conversations, your meals, your sleep? You're not alone, and there's a reason. More trains are traveling through San Marco, and they're getting louder and disrupting the quality of life of residents, merchants and patrons.
San Marco could be designated a "Quiet Zone" by the Federal Railroad Administration, meaning trains would not blow their whistle, except in an emergency. It requires the installation of alternative safety devices like bigger crossing gates and traffic barriers.
To make it happen, San Marco residents, merchants and patrons must come together to convince city state and federal officials that a Quiet Zone would significantly improve the quality of life in our historic district. We need your help to make it happen.
